Embossed
papers are pressed right out of the mold and take on the shape and
relief patterns of the die itself. This paper has an authentic impresion
of nature's true elements. Embossing is generally done on white handmade
papers. A heavier paper is required for high relief patterns and a
middle weight paper is used for lower relief patterns. The Embossed
papers are made using big dyes to print the floral and abstract
designs-patterns on virtually any handmade paper.
Floral design, abstract and other nature objects are embossed and
dusted with a pearlescent coating to give added dimension and beauty to
the handmade paper. The colors and patterns are vibrant and thrilling.

Making of Embossed Paper
- Place the stencil on the cardstock or any other handmade paper.
- Using an embossing tool trace around the inside edges of the
designs on the stencil.
- After embossing is completed use a small square of sandpaper to
lightly sand the top edges of the embossed areas.
- Use a cotton swab to lightly brush chalk over the sanded areas.
The chalk will highlight the embossed areas.
Handmade Embossed Papers are excellent for book arts and
