the heart of the Himalaya, Nepali craftspeople have been producing
handmade paper for over many years. Nepalese handmade papers are
known for their beauty as well as strength and durability. Its like
writing on clouds, a perfect paper for writing poetry and love letters.
It is simply called a paper from the clouds of Himalaya, a paper of
dignity and honour.These stunning papers are made from the bark of the Daphne spp., also called lokta locally. This plant is found in altitude of 7,000 to 9,000 feet or above sea level. The plant has a capability of regrowing after being cut. Nepalese paper is renowned for its exceptional durability, strength and wonderful texture. These papers are available in a range of festive colors depicting the moods and values of Nepalese.The people of Nepal continue to use it in their daily life. Later in 1959 the paper was traded with Tibet where it was used in the monasteries for sacred texts. Nepalese Paper Products Nepalese Paper Products Pvt.
